Why Draft Grades Are Meaningless + My Draft Grades! The NFL Draft concluded and many teams have been given arbitrary draft grades. The Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys all received high grades, and only the Packers are the unanimous losers of the NFL draft with terrible grades from all evaluators.
Raiders rumors and news are swirling after the 2020 NFL Draft around Damon Arnette, Amik Robertson, Yannick Nagkoue, Gabe Jackson, and Derek Carr. The Raiders drafted Arnette in round 1 of the NFL Draft, was that too high of a reach for the Ohio State CB? LA Tech CB Amik RObertson was a 2020 NFL Draft Sleeper, and will likely play nickel corner. Plenty of trade rumors as well around Yannick Nagkoue and Gabe Jackson. Plus Derek Carr went on a podcast to discuss the Raiders 2020 season.

The Colts Fan thinks Indy has hired him and they're actually paying him real money to be a "virtual draft consultant" so he made them this instructional video...but it turns out some of the folks from NFL Fan Therapy were just playing a prank on him. What a sucker. #NFLFanTherapy

The Broncos drafted 3 wide receivers, a tight end, a center a guard, a cornerback and 3 edge rushers in the 2020 NFL Draft. Drew Lock will love the additions of WR Jerry Jeduy, KJ Hamler, & Albert O hopefully giving Denver enough fire power to compete with the Chiefs in the AFC West.
It looks like Rex Ryan will be hanging on to the most ill used offensive weapon on the Jets roster. Any chance of a trade is quickly fading and Ryan has stated that he wants more "Tebow" on the field. So far this year the Jets have used Tebow in spits and spurts with no semblance of a plan. Spagano has even pulled Tebow inside the 5 yard line so Sanchez can try to pass the ball in for six points. Not one single time has Sanchez managed much more than a Field Goal.
Simply put "Tebow Time" is a mindset and attitude on the field that becomes infectious to not just the offense but the entire team. TT needs time to grow, build trust and inject a winning attitude. Spagano's limited Wildcat Offense is not "Tebow Time". What Spagano is doing is paying lip service to the owner of the team who wants Tebow on the field. The man paid over $4 million dollars for Tebow's services and deserves to get what he wanted out of the deal. A Field General that can push the NY Jets over the top.
Unless New York wants 5 more years of Sanchez doing his best Tony Romo impression fans really need to wake up and push the issue.
Despite some really strange Running Back performances out of Tampa Bay and Cam Newton's Panthers, failing to move Adrian Peterson from the Bench to Active and forgetting to click submit on my Defense selections. I finished the week 3-0 in my fantasy leagues. This despite throwing up just enough fantasy points to squeak by in each league.
Many thanks to Peyton Manning for throwing to Decker, the Patriots defense and Billy Cundiff kicking the ball clear out of Fedex field. The Tim Tebow Soap Opera had two of my opponents benching Sanchez and Romo's Cowboys took down the Giants to blow the lid off my competition's rosters. Now I get middle of the pack waiver rights and hope pick up a few mid season sleepers without having to duke out a trade. In one league I am sitting on Flacco and Vick for no other purpose than trade leverage down the line.
Officiating: The replacement officials seemed to do pretty well with only a few iffy calls that were caught by Booth Reviews.
NFL League Notes: New Orleans Linebacker Vilma, who fought suspension in court, got reinstated only to blow his knee. Out for six weeks minimum on the PUP list. Well played Dork....
TV Coverage: I live in a Time-Warner Cable franchise city so no NFL Network, Redzone or GamePass for me. Dish and Direct systems are not allowed in my condo complex sooo..... There are two options.
Pay $250 for the Direct GamePass for computer/tablet/smartphone access.
ESPN and NFL Fantasy Football Centers, Smartphone apps and my DVR. FREE!!!!!! The only thing missing is NFL Redzone but the Fantasy Centers pop up big plays involving my weekly picks. Sweet....
Tim Tebow Notes: Ryan, Sanchez and Tebow may have pulled one of the biggest cons in the history of sports this pre-season making the Jets Offense look ineffectual in practice and meaningless games. However, they opened against the Bills, which are almost an auto-Win, blowing their secret and succeeding in pissing off half the Fantasy Football world. Other than that Tebow-mania managed to play some decent football.
Closing thoughts, there are several other great "Iron Man" Utility players in the NFL trapped in the QB position. Why not allow us to start them as a "Utility Player"?
