Tim Tebow "Have Gun, Will Travel"

Palladin, "Have Helmet, will Travel"
RUN TIM RUN!!!!!!!!
According to Yahoo Sports writer Eric Adelson we can all expect Tim Tebow to be the New York Jets starting QB. Sometime this season he believes that the young and inexperienced offense under Mark Sanchez to break down. Through no fault of his own Mark Sanchez will be shown the bench by mid-season in favor of Tebow's "Ball Control" ground and pound game. The Jets have a world class defense built by its Head Coach, a recognized NFL defensive genius. But with a Hall of Fame caliber quarterback in Sanchez leading an Arena league offense the Jets are doomed to a season of blown routes, dropped passes, and triple digit turnovers.

Tebow was acquired specifically for this type of situation. Rex Ryan sees "Tebow-Time" as the one thing that Mark Sanchez seriously lacks. It is that time during a football game when the whole thing is resting on your shoulders. The team needs not just a first down but a miracle made with feet, presence and a hunger to win. When QBRs don't mean a squat it is the "Intangibles" Tebow brings to the field that gets teams to the playoffs. If you pay close attention to the camp reports you see that Sanchez is more of a leader than ever before, he is snappier during drills and trying like hell to out sprint Tebow during post-practice gassers. Tebow is making him better by just applying honest "Pressure" through hard work and discipline.

Tebow will never come out and say he wants to kick Sanchez out of the starting job but you know the hunger is there. I really don't know the future for Tim but I do believe he will not be a lifetime Jet. My gut tells me he will spend the next 10-15 years as the NFL's traveling "Palladin". Pressuring under performing franchises into greatness with a shot of honest love for the game, will power, and a dash of "Tebow-Time". Experts and purists will hate Tim his entire career because despite everything he scores, leads, raises teams up and gives them the opportunity to be exciting and that sells tickets. Owners love full stadiums and secretly coaches love having a gigantic 12 year old kid full of talent and lots of heart who just want to play football.

What is Tim's next stop? Cleveland, Miami, Minnesota........

Just how badly will the Jets use Tim Tebow?

My Turn, No My Turn, Wait Your Turn, It Is My Turn.....
“Whatever I’m asked to do,” ,,,, “I’m going to do it.” said Tim Tebow in training camp.

Realistically, Rex Ryan has said the Jets will be using Tebow as a "Football Player" for 20-30 plays per game. Listed as the back up QB that means Tim Tebow will be leading a "Wildcat Offense" for up to 50% of the offensive plays from scrimmage. What is particularly scary for Mark Sanchez, Jets #1 QB, is that his head coach has lost confidence in his ability to score in the Red Zone and 3rd down situations. This are scenarios that Tebow is well suited as a natural leader, motivator and all around athlete.

While it might be a good patch for the Jets offense this season it is not the ideal situation for the franchise, or Quarterbacks, long term. If Sanchez is ever going to break out and become the Hall of Fame caliber QB his talent and skill suggest then he needs a "Tebow Time" wake up call. Rex should man up and tell him he sucks as a leader and help him earn the trust of the team. Tebow is such a nice guy he won't go for the jugular to finish off Sanchez and move up. The fans have already left Sanchez and thrown all in with "Tebow-mania" or at least "Next QB-mania". Finally the team. In order to succeed this season the have two strategic choices. Split practice time and reps, or, divide the offense into two packages and practice separately together......

Any one who has ever played team sports knows there can be only one field general calling the plays and leading the team. Either option kills Sanchez as a future franchise QB since Tebow will get the Red Zone reps and hero points from the fans. The players may all understand Sanchez got them to the 16 yard line but Tebow will get the TD stat. In football grace under pressure is a learned trait that can only develop under fire and intense pressure on a world wide stage with 80,000 fans screaming their heads off. That is what Mark desperately needs from Rex Ryan but he won't get that now. Sanchez should have said "Play Me or Trade Me."

What about Tebow? Everyone knows Tim Tebow has a limited NFL QB skill set but is an outstanding all
around football player with the manners of Mother Theresa and the fire in the belly leadership style of General Patton. With Tebow as a starting QB the Jets will score based on the force of Tebow's will and they would more than likely make the playoffs. But no further, post season defenses are so finely tuned the Tebow led Jets would suffer an embarrassment not unlike Denvers loss last season to the Patriots. Tim Tebow, if properly developed and mentored, will be a great journeyman QB and give a team 5-7 years of playoff appearances. The problem is he will not get that development in New York. The Jets have to win right now in order to cash in on the expensive free agent WR/TE corps they signed. So Tebow gets the "Red Zone"/ Band Aid role.

Someone in the NFL Chairman's office should swoop in and find a reason to send Rex Ryan fishing with Sean Payton this season. Just to save the careers of two potentially great Quarterbacks.

Eli Manning on Saturday Night Live

Eli Manning held his own on Saturday Night Live. While not quite getting a bit like his brother Peyton's satire of the NFL kids program the youngest Manning brother can add three classic SNL skits to his collection of two Super Bowl Trophies and MVP awards.

Trick Shot Quarterback now a Buffalo Bill

Monmouth University quarterback Alex Tanney can hit the either side of a goalpost from 50 yards away throwing from his knees and complete to a receiver in the bed of a truck speeding away. Undrafted Tanney will stand behind two seventh round QBs but work for the best development coach in the NFL.
Is he ready to back up the Bills Harvard grad phenom Ryan Fitzpatrick?
Can you see Tanney as a special teams option popping 2 point conversions to tight ends?
First Tim Tebow now Alex Tanney, the NFL has gone gimmick crazy, but these guys are straight up winners.

Men fail to make NFL Cheerleader Squads

An NFL Cheerleader's fans worst nightmare
NFL fans in Houston and Denver dodged a couple of "smallish" torpedoes after two men entered into the open cheerleader tryouts. The Broncos and Texans cheer squads, along with most of the other NFL franchises, annually host highly competitive open tryouts for their few open positions. Joining the recent rash of party crashing traditionally female only events the two men, whom I chose not to name, told the Yahoo reporter that they were primarily interested in the attention. They both mentioned "Being the first male cheerleader in the NFL".

What the two morons failed to realize is the Baltimore Ravens already have male cheerleaders.
